One more satisfied customer of the Ivany Free Relocation program. So far we have relocated three customers, all of whom were more than satisfied with the free service that we offer.
There’s nothing worse than having to rummage up some food once you get to your new home. That’s why the Ivany Free Relocation program includes a free meal once you accept the relocation offer and we even include food for when you reach your destination. Just enough to get you past that moving-in stage.
If you want to be relocated for free, just take us up on our offer. Once it has been determined that you are suitable for relocation, we’ll take care of everything else.
The Fugitive has been caught but it looks like the Fugitive has a twin! This morning I heard the angry chatter of a squirrel and realized that the fugitive had help. As I watched out my kitchen window, I saw another little red squirrel dart across my driveway under the cars with a walnut in it’s mouth. I checked the engine bay of the car for walnuts and sure enough, there were a couple stashed in there already.
At first I thought that the first little red squirrel had managed to find its way back home. That would be amazing if it had but I’m pretty convinced, after getting another look at this squirrel, that I’ve actually got a different squirrel now.
So the live trap is set again and the Ivany relocation program is once again being offered to any squirrel who chooses to take the
Some of the long term readers of my blog may recall that last year I had some issues with a little red squirrel. At the time I said the squirrel must die but now I’m quite content with the squirrel living out it’s days. Why the change of heart? Well, the fugitive has been caught!
The red squirrel has been caught!
I borrowed a live trap from a co-worker of mine and set it up every day for a couple days. It took three tries to finally capture the little red squirrel because it took that long for me to finally get the trap sensitive enough to trip when the squirrel went for the peanut butter. Oh well, it’s all good now. I’ve relocated the squirrel to place where it will be a little difficult for it to get back here. There’s a creek between him and us now. :)
My only concern is that there was more than one red squirrel stashing walnuts in our cars. I’m going to keep my eyes open and keep checking for another couple days. We don’t want to have any more problems with walnuts!
The Spirit has gone to heaven! Finally!
Some of you may recall the old Dodge Spirit that we’ve had kicking around in our driveway for a couple months now. It had become the new home and walnut storage for the damn squirrel this fall. The reason we had kept it for so long was that the tires on it were pretty much brand new and exactly the same size as the Pontiac Sunfire that we bought to replace the Spirit. It took us a while to track down some replacement bald tires for the Spirit.
Once we got everything fixed up with the tires, we contacted Car Heaven and arranged for them to come collect the Spirit. Car Heaven is a pretty neat program because the car ends up being disposed of in an environmentally safe way. Also, the proceeds of anything that can be stripped and sold from the car are donated to one of the charities involved in the program (you can pick the one you want).
And here is the Spirit on it’s way up the
stairway ramp to heaven!
Here is our Dodge Spirit getting hauled away to Car Heaven
Finally the Spirit is on it’s way and no longer taking up space in our driveway. Yippee!
There goes the old Dodge Spirit to Car Heaven
Jeff (one of my co-workers) dropped by this morning to tell me about his adventure while driving to the airport last week. He started smelling smoke as he was driving but it took him a few minutes to decide that it was actually coming from his car (smoke started coming in through his vents). Once he pulled over, it was obvious that smoke was coming from under the hood so he opened it up and discovered…
He said that he pulled 240 pine cones out of the engine compartment. All this while trying to keep clean since he was heading out of town on business. He said he’s going to pick up a rat trap on the way home. Seems that he has either the same damn squirrel I did or some other small nut gathering critter that figured it had found a wonderful hiding spot for the winter.
I guess some people just really like those pine air-fresheners.
