Our new puppy Roxie came yesterday. We took her to the vet and she got all of her shots. She also got weighed. Wowzers, around 7.5kg (16.5lbs) at 8 weeks! She’s more than twice the size of when we saw her around 4 weeks. Crazy.
So far she’s been pretty good. She sleeps a fair bit and we’ve had a few accidents but that’s more our fault than hers. We’re not quite getting her outside soon enough after she eats or drinks some water. No problem, we’ll get the hang of it yet.
Of course since she’s growing quickly, her body doesn’t quite do what her brain wants it to do. It’s good for a laugh every now and then. She’s still not so sure about the collar either. She’ll be walking along and start trying to scratch the collar off at the same time.
Anyhoo, it’s been less than a day now that she’s been here so we’ll see how quickly she learns everything. We need to start crate training her soon.
